Description
Portrait of Jenny Friedman who never gave up. figure portrait in pink purple and blue Downs Syndrome
At the JBFF, we believe that All People have Value, Self-Worth and Dignity, regardless of Who They Are. When you save one life, you save a whole world. We believe in the ethic of, "Treat others as you would treat yourself". At the JBFF, we believe that Everyone has a Right to Dignity and Basic Needs. We help people with Food, Shelter and Job Training to bring them Peace of Mind, Self-Respect, Self-Pide and Dignity. To Bridge the Gap and Restore Them to the Job Market. And to make Them the Very Best They Can Be. Our goal is to fight injustice and pre-judgement which may result from a lack of knowledge or familiarity. All of G-d’s Children have Rights. Even if a person is disabled to the extent he can only paint a brushstroke on a stick – that stick can still be useful and sold to construction companies and surveyors. Everyone comes to the table with What they Have and Everyone brings Something Wherever there is discrimination, we’ll be there. Wherever there are stumbling blocks, we’ll be there. Wherever there are hardships, we’ll be there. This is our credo and pledge to You in the name of Jenny B. Friedman, a person born with low expectations who never, ever, ever gave up. And became a law abiding, tax paying Contributing Member of Society. She Cared about People and She was Loyal to her friends. Jenny rose to the very top of her Potential. We continue that Tradition in All Ways with our IRS 501C3 Approved Charitable Organization in Jenny’s name. To carry out this Mission, we have immediate, short term and long term goals. We help people direct, with food, rent and utility grants. We are searching right now for suitable property to locate the JBFF Food Bank, Homeless Shelter and Job Training Program. As progress allows, we will keep you posted on this website. On a long term basis, we have secured acreage in South Haven, Michigan to build the JBFF Ranch for Disabled Children. Using Animal Therapy techniques, Botany Studies and Hiking Trails. We are engaging in setup such as planning the layout of electric lines, drainage and pre-construction. We will keep You posted on the progress of this Project. Join us as we fulfill our Mission.
